No more wasting valuable time sitting in waiting rooms! Welcome to Beyond Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy, a home/work-based business, where we bring excellence, experience, and evidenced-informed solutions to you.

Our mission is to add value, empower, and create memorable moments by always giving 110% through excellence in service

Our vision is to “get better, go beyond by continually learning and applying current best evidence so that we may improve the lives of others through excellence in helping, being the best at what we do, the consumer’s first choice for providers of rehabilitation.”
My journey to become a PT was no easy feat, three divine moments provided a lamp to my feet and a light to my pathway: A vision at age seven, my mother’s battle with multiple sclerosis, and my shoulder injury abroad. My Road to Recovery has been my road map to Beyond Sports Medicine & Physical Therapy. It is not a job or work for me, it is my life’s passion and goal. Ultimately, this is why the care that my patients receive is Beyond the Goal.

Spencer A. Wingate, CEO

Most traditional clinics will have 2-4 (or sometimes even more) patients being seen by a single therapist at a time. This means that your time with the therapist is limited, at Beyond Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy we individualize our time to only one patient: YOU.

Out-of-network, or cash-based, models can allow PTs to avoid restrictions placed on their services by third-party payers that interfere with their ability to help patients reach their goals.
Another benefit of this approach is avoiding the cost of collecting payment from third-party payers and the difficulties in negotiating rates with insurance companies that may undermine the financial viability of a PT practice.

“I had a total knee replacement surgery and my assigned therapist was Mr. Spencer Wingate. The service that I have experienced in dealing with Spencer have always been cheerful and encouraging. I have made faster progress than I could imagine and have exceeded all of my physician’s predictions on the rate of my recovery, all of which is due in large part to Spencer’s expert direction and encouragement. If I were operating a business, I cannot imagine a more ideal employee to have on my staff than Spencer.”

I have worked with Dr.Wingate as his Residency Mentor. Throughout this professional relationship I have found him to possess superior cognitive, affective and psychomotor aptitudes that far exceed his professional peers.. Spencer is astutely sensitive with regard to his patients’ affective needs and the outcomes of Spencer’s therapeutic interventions have been objectively measured and found to be highly effective and satisfactorily received by his patients.”

“I started going to see Spencer in April of 2019 for my left shoulder. I did treatments with Spencer until 2021. He helped me with the treatments given, and he did a great job. I don’t have any problems with my shoulder. Spencer is a great therapist, he helped me with my shoulder and I’m so thankful. Thanks, Spencer for all your help!”

The WHO developed what has become the most commonly referenced definition of health: “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease.”9 This definition, dating back to the 1940s, recognizes that health is more than physical health, and efforts to improve health thus should be comprehensive.
